Get your event seen by the right audience and measure your exact advertising return on investment (ROI) using Posh’s built-in marketing toolkit. By deploying native tracking pixels, upgrading to server-side conversion API telemetry, and opting into global marketplace visibility, you can scale your brand's reach while data-proofing your campaigns against modern ad blockers.
Quick Guide: Where to Go (Web Only)
Log in to your Posh Organization.
Click the event you want to manage to open its event page.
Select Marketing from the tabs at the top.
Scroll down to Ads and Analytics Tracking.
The Ads and Analytics Tracking section of the Marketing tab lets you connect your ad platform IDs so Posh can send conversion data directly to your campaigns, and control how your event is distributed beyond your own page.
Connecting Your Ad Tracking Pixels
The following pixel and analytics IDs are supported:
Meta Pixel ID: Standard browser-side tracking that logs visitors who land on your event page from Facebook or Instagram ads. Pair it with a Conversions API token for server-side accuracy — see the Meta Pixel & Conversions API section below for the full CAPI setup guide.
TikTok Pixel ID: Measures traffic velocity and ticket conversions from your TikTok ad campaigns.
Google Ads: Tracks direct ticket purchases arriving via Google Search, Display, or YouTube campaigns. Enter your conversion ID (numeric, e.g. 123456789).
Google Analytics: Monitors page behavior, referral sources, and user demographics. Enter your Measurement ID in
G-XXXXXXXXformat.
⚠️ Google Tag Manager is not supported. Paste your native Google IDs directly into the Marketing fields — do not use GTM as an intermediary.
Distribution Toggles
Also inside the Ads and Analytics Tracking section, two toggles control passive event discovery:
Market My Event: Pushes your event onto the public Posh Marketplace Feed, making it discoverable to fans browsing for local events.
Third-Party Site Display: Authorizes Posh to promote your event across its network of partner distribution channels.
Download Your Event QR Code
Yes—each Posh event includes a unique QR code that opens its event page when scanned.
To find and download your event QR code on the web:
Log in to your Posh Organization.
Open the event you want to promote.
Select the Marketing tab.
Scroll to Ads and Analytics Tracking.
Find your event QR code and click Download PNG.
Save the image and add it to your flyers, posters, or digital promotional materials.
When someone scans the code, it opens your event page in their browser or the Posh app, where they can view event details and available tickets.
💡 Tip: Test the downloaded QR code before sharing or printing it. Keep it large and clear enough to scan.
Meta Pixel & Conversions API (CAPI) Integration
Browser tracking alone faces limitations from iOS privacy blocks and desktop ad blockers. To ensure data accuracy, Posh utilizes a dual-routing tracking infrastructure:
The Browser Tier (Meta Pixel ID): Standard tracking that logs visitors navigating to your page directly from Facebook or Instagram ads.
The Server Tier (Meta Conversions API Token): Securely passes purchase data directly from Posh backend servers to Meta's servers, bypassing browser limitations for absolute reporting precision.
Automated Consumer Milestone Events
Once your Meta tracking is active, Posh automatically monitors and transmits the following milestones to your Ads Manager:
Page View: Triggered when an attendee lands on your custom event page.
Add to Cart: Logged the moment ticket tiers are added to a user's basket.
Checkout Started: Captured when the buyer enters the checkout gateway.
Purchase: Transmitted immediately upon a successful transaction.
Step-by-Step Meta CAPI Setup
Open your corporate Meta Events Manager and select your active pixel.
Navigate to Settings, scroll down to the Conversions API block, and click Generate Access Token.
Copy the token string.
Return to your event's Settings tab → Marketing section and paste it directly into the Meta Conversions API Access Token box.
📌 Heads Up: If your token expires or becomes invalid on Meta's end, server-side data broadcasting will pause automatically until an updated token string is saved.
Check That Your Meta Pixel Is Working
After saving your Marketing settings:
Open your live event page in Chrome with Meta Pixel Helper enabled.
Refresh the page, then open the extension.
Confirm the Pixel ID matches the one you saved and that a PageView event fires successfully.
If no event appears, check your saved Pixel ID and temporarily disable ad blockers for your test. Accept tracking cookies if prompted, then refresh.
A successful PageView confirms browser tracking is working. It does not confirm purchase tracking or server-side Conversions API delivery.
Why can’t I see my Conversions API Token in the page source?
This is expected. Your token is kept securely on the server and is intentionally never visible in your event page’s source or browser tools. Its absence does not mean tracking is broken. If events still appear to be missing, contact Posh Support with your event URL and screenshots of any errors. Do not share your Conversions API Token.
Technical Guardrails and System Adjustments
Google Tag Manager (GTM) Deactivation: To maintain top-tier database security and protect checkout funnels from unvetted third-party scripts, Posh does not support Google Tag Manager. Copy your native Google IDs and paste them directly into these dedicated dashboard blocks instead.
Unsupported Tracking Scripts: Legacy workarounds used to inject alternative platforms (like Snapchat Pixels or custom HTML scripts) via GTM are completely deprecated.
TikTok Organic Links: Posh does not support in-app TikTok event listings or ticket integrations. To capture organic TikTok traffic, drop your standard Posh event URL directly into your brand's TikTok profile bio.
🚫 Checkout Iframe Tracking (Not Supported): Custom event and button-click tracking inside the Posh checkout iframe cannot be instrumented by organizers. Only the Meta Pixel ID and Conversions API token are supported.
FAQs
Can I use different Meta Pixel IDs for different events?
Yes. Meta Pixel settings are configured at the individual event level. This means you can use a unique Pixel ID for every event you create, even if those events are hosted by the same organizer.
Can different organizers on the platform use their own Pixel IDs?
Yes. Pixel configurations are entirely independent. Each organizer can set up and manage their own unique Meta Pixel ID without affecting others.
Are Purchase events tracked at the organizer level or the event level?
At the event level. When a attendee purchases a ticket, the Purchase event is automatically reported directly to that specific event's designated Meta Pixel.
Can I track custom events or button clicks inside the Posh checkout?
No — the Posh checkout runs inside an iframe that external tracking scripts cannot access. Stick to the Meta Pixel ID and Conversions API token configured in your Ads and Analytics Tracking section of your event's Marketing tab.
Can Posh automatically post my event to Facebook or other social platforms?
No. Posh has no native integration with Facebook Events, Instagram, or any other social platform. When you publish on Posh, your event goes live on Posh only. To share on social media, copy your event link from the Event's dashboard and post it manually. Some organizers use third-party tools like Zapier to automate cross-posting, but Posh does not support or troubleshoot these setups — use them at your own risk.
