Third-Party Links: List Your Event Elsewhere & Share them on Posh

Create a third-party link event, track page views and ticket-link clicks, and guide attendees to tickets purchased on another platform.

List your event on Posh while keeping ticket sales on your alternative platform. Third-Party Links gives your event a Posh page, then sends attendees to your external ticketing page when they tap Get Tickets.

💡 Available to any organizer with a Posh account. Creating and editing third-party link events is currently web-only; mobile app support is coming later. These events are currently free to list.

Create Your Third-Party Link Event

1. Open Create Event on your Posh web browser.
2. Select External tickets next to Sell tickets and RSVP.

3. Paste the link to your event’s ticketing page. This replaces ticket setup, so you won’t create ticket types on Posh.
4. Add your required fields (event name, image, description, venue, date and time).
5. Click Publish.

📌 Use a supported ticketing platform and link directly to your specific event, not the platform’s homepage. If you see this error: “That ticketing platform is not supported yet. Use a link from an approved provider (e.g. Eventbrite, Partiful, Dice, Ticketmaster).”

It means Posh doesn’t currently recognize your link as being from a supported ticketing provider. Double-check that you’ve pasted the direct link to your event’s ticketing page.

If your platform isn’t supported, you’ll see a message when you try to publish. Email [email protected] with the platform’s name and a link to one of your events. We’ll review your request and if eligible, we'll add the supported platforms.

Share Your Event & Understand the Attendee Experience

Your Posh event page shows your event details with a "Get Tickets" button. When attendees tap it, your external ticketing page opens in a new tab on the web or in a browser inside the Posh mobile app. The purchase happens entirely on the other platform.

📌 Share your Posh event link directly. Third-party link events won't be included in For You page yet. We’re working on bringing them into discovery.

Tickets, purchase confirmations and order details stay with the platform selling your tickets. They will NOT appear in attendees’ Posh accounts.

Track Performance & Manage Your Event

Your Posh dashboard tracks activity on your event page. Purchases and ticket records stay on your external ticketing platform.

Third-Party Links vs. Embed Event: How They Differ

Use Third-Party Links when you want a Posh event page that sends attendees to another platform to buy tickets.

Use Embed Event (Iframe) when you sell tickets on Posh and want to show ticket selection on your own website. Attendees start on your site, then move to Posh for login, payment, and confirmation.

For embed setup, see Checkout Settings: Customize the Attendee’s Experience 📚

FAQs

Can I sell Posh tickets and use a third-party link on the same event?
No. Each event is either ticketed on Posh or linked to another platform.

Can I switch a third-party link event to Posh tickets later?
Not directly. Create a new event with Posh tickets.

Can I create an event series?
Event series aren’t available for third-party link events yet. Create a separate event for each date.

Why doesn’t my event show a price?
Third-party link events don’t have ticket types on Posh, so their events don’t display prices right now.

Can I change my third-party link after publishing?
Yes. Edit the event on the web to update its details or checkout link.

An attendee can’t find their third-party ticket on Posh. What should I tell them?
Their ticket is handled by the platform where they completed the purchase. Ask them to check their email for that platform’s confirmation. Posh can access the click on Get tickets, but can’t access the purchase, confirmation or ticket.

Where should attendees go for refunds or ticket questions?

Direct them to the support team of the platform that sold the ticket. Posh can’t access or change purchases made on another platform.

Will third-party link events appear in For You or Trending at launch?

No. For You and Trending currently rank events based on orders, and third-party link events do not have Posh orders. We’re working on how these events will appear in discovery. Ranking preference for Posh-ticketed events is planned, but is not live yet.

Why do I pay Posh ticketing fees when third-party link events are free to list?

Posh ticketing fees support ticketing, payouts, attendee data, Kickback, SMS, promo codes, team tracking, and analytics. A third-party link listing does not include those ticketing and event-management tools; its reporting covers page views and ticket-link clicks. Expanding the range of events on Posh is intended to bring more people to the platform.

Can I create third-party link events in the Posh app?

Not yet. Creating third-party link events is currently web-only. Attendees can open a shared event page on web or mobile.

Why didn’t my third-party event link publish?

Your link must point to a supported ticketing platform. If the platform is not supported, you’ll see a validation error when publishing. Every third-party event link is checked before it goes live to help protect attendees from fraudulent destinations. If your platform is not supported, email [email protected] with the platform’s name and a link to your event for review.

I have an exclusive contract with Posh. Can I list on other platforms?

You can, but you must drive your marketing exclusively to Posh.

Is Posh moving away from organizer tools?

No. Organizer tools remain core to Posh. Third-Party Links is intended to bring more people to the platform and help more potential buyers discover events, while Posh continues to support organizers who ticket directly on Posh.

Do I receive attendee emails or purchase data from a third-party event?

No. Purchases happen on the external platform, so attendee emails and purchase data stay there. Posh reports event page views and ticket-link clicks; a click does not confirm a purchase.

Can I use tracking links for a third-party event?

Yes. Tracking links work, and their activity appears in Event Overview. Kickback and promo codes are not available for third-party link events.

What happens when an attendee clicks Get Tickets?

The external ticketing page opens in a new tab on web or an in-app browser on mobile. The attendee completes the purchase on that platform, which handles their ticket and confirmation.
