Door sales just got easier! Use your device to accept credit card payments with just a tap. In-Person Payments integrates directly with Posh so your sales data automatically syncs with your analytics, CRM and payouts.

Setting Up In-Person Payments through the Web
Log in to your Posh account in your browser.
Go to your Event Details page.
Select the Ticket ποΈ icon.
To allow in-person payments across your entire event, activate the "In-Person Payments Enabled" setting.
For selective activation on specific ticket types, simply click on the desired ticket tier and enable in-person payments within that tier's settings.

Setting Up In-Person Payments through the app
Before you can start selling tickets at the door, you'll need to enable In-Person Payments through the app.
Go to your Posh Overview page.
Tap "Manage In-Person Payments."
Toggle "Enable In-Person Payments" to ON.
Complete a brief onboarding setup with your phone
βImportant Note: This will enable In-Person Payments for all your events. You can manage individual event settings afterward.
Taking Payments at the Door πͺ
Once you've enabled In-Person Payments, you're ready to start selling!
Go to Event: Select the event where you'll be selling tickets.
In-Person Payment: Click "In-Person Payments."
Select/Create Amount: Choose an existing ticket type or create a custom amount. Remember, custom amounts are specifically for in-person sales and allow for flexible pricing at the door.
Checkout: Click "Checkout." This will generate the cart breakdown after fees.
Charge: Click "Charge."
Tap Card: Have the attendee tap their Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card on your device.
Complete: The order is now complete!
Collect: Capture the attendee phone number or email on the confirmation page to 1) send a receipt and 2) collect their data into your Posh account.

How it Works For Attendees π±
Tap and Pay: Simply tap your credit card or mobile device on the organizer's phone.
Get Your Receipt: You'll receive a receipt via text message.
Access Your Tickets: Follow the instructions in the text message to view your tickets in the Posh app.

All NFC-enabled iOS devices (so no iPads). Android support is coming soon!

How will my in-person payment sales appear in my analytics?
ββDoor sales are clearly labeled and separated from online sales in the Orders section. You'll also see a helpful pie chart comparing In-Person Payments sales to other channels.

Can I adjust ticket prices at the door?
ββ Absolutely! You can enter a custom amount for each transaction OR you can edit tickets from the event page.

Is there a transaction limit?
Yes, the limit is $5,000 per transaction. For higher amounts, you'll need to process the transaction through your event page.

Can I create new ticket types at the door?
Yes, you can create new ticket types via "Edit Event." The custom charge feature also allows for this.

Who has access to this feature?
All team members (owners, admins, doorman, hosts, ticket scanners) will have access to sell at the door by default.

Which currencies are supported?
We currently support USD. We plan to add more currencies after the initial launch.

How will my attendees receive their tickets?
Attendees will receive a text message with a receipt and instructions on how to access their ticket in the Posh app. If they don't have the app, the text message will guide them on how to download it.

Make sure NFC is enabled on your device. This is essential for Tap to Pay to work.
Charge your phone! You don't want a low battery to interrupt your door sales.
Familiarize yourself with the app before your event. A quick practice run can help you avoid any issues on the day.
