Creating Ticket Groups

Group your ticket types to organize your event offerings and provide a smoother experience for your guests. With Ticket Groups, you can present related ticket types together under a shared category, making it easier for attendees to understand their options and select the right ticket.


Why Use Ticket Groups?

Grouping ticket types serves multiple purposes:

  • Organization: Visually separate different categories of tickets (e.g., General Admission vs. VIP).

  • Clarity: Help attendees easily navigate ticket options by bundling similar offerings.

  • Customization: Create separate groups for online vs. in-person tickets, tiers, or access levels.

  • Targeting: Promote specific types of access (e.g., Early Access, All-Inclusive) more effectively.


How to Create Ticket Groups

Here’s how to create a Ticket Group:

  1. Log in to your Posh account from your browser.

  2. Navigate to your Event Details page.

  3. Tap the Ticket 🎟️ icon.

  4. After creating your Ticket Types, scroll down to the “Ticket Groups” section.

  5. Tap “+ Create Ticket Group”.

Configure your Ticket Group:

  • Group Name: Give your group a clear and relevant name (e.g., "General Admission," "VIP Packages").

  • Add Ticket Types: Select one or more existing ticket types to include in this group.

  • Group Order: Choose the display order of the group on your event page.

  • Visibility: Decide whether the group should be publicly visible or hidden.

💡 You must first create individual Ticket Types before assigning them to a group.


🧠 Tips for Effective Grouping

  • Group by experience level: e.g., Standard vs. Premium access.

  • Group by event format: e.g., Online Tickets vs. In-Person Tickets.

  • Use clear labels that guide attendees to the right option quickly.

  • Delete ticket groups if you don't want to continue using this feature or only want to keep certain groups visible to your attendees.

When attendees view your event page, Ticket Groups help organize your offerings into clearly labeled sections. This makes it easier for guests to browse and select the right ticket.
