How to Request Ticket Refunds

Life happens—we get it! If you can’t make it to your event, you can request a refund from the event organizer in one of three easy ways:

Request a Refund via Web Chat

  1. Log in to your Posh account using a desktop browser. Ensure all active chats or tickets related to refunds are closed before proceeding with a new refund request.

  2. Look for the Chat icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

  3. Click the Chat icon to open the support chat. Type the keywords "refund" or "request refund" as your initial message. These keywords will initiate the automated refund workflow.

  4. Follow the prompts to request a refund.

  5. Your details will automatically be sent to the event organizer.

  6. The organizer will review your request and respond with a decision regarding your refund.


Request a Refund via Mobile Chat

  1. Open the Posh App and log in.1. Ensure all active chats or tickets related to refunds are closed before starting a new refund request.

  2. Tap your Profile in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Select Contact Support (located under Change Password beside Support).

  5. Type the keywords "refund" or "request refund" as your initial message. These keywords will initiate the automated refund workflow.

  6. Follow the prompts to request a refund.

  7. Your details will automatically be sent to the event organizer.

  8. The organizer will review your request and respond with a decision regarding your refund.

Important Note 📣

If you purchased a ticket for a family member or friend, follow the same process to request a refund. However, only the ticket holder’s Posh account can submit a refund request. Refunds cannot be submitted through someone else’s account—even if you purchased the ticket for them.

For the smoothest experience, the ticket holder should log in and complete the refund request themselves. This ensures the organizer receives accurate order details and can process the request without delays.


What Happens After Requesting a Refund?

If the Organizer doesn’t respond to your refund request within 10 full days of your initial message in the Posh Messenger chat, reach out to us for further assistance. Please note that the final decision and processing of any refund are made by the Event Organizer.

⚠️ Important Note:

If your first message in chat is not “refund” or “request refund,” the automated refund workflow won’t start.

For example, if you first type “I need help with my ticket,” you’ll receive general ticket assistance instead of the refund prompts.

If that happens:

Wait for your current chat to automatically close (usually within a few minutes), or Simply reply “Yes” when prompted to mark the chat as resolved.

Once the chat is closed, you can start a new chat and type “refund” or “request refund” as your first message to correctly initiate the refund process.

Why doesn’t Posh process refunds directly?

Handling refunds is the responsibility of event organizers, as per Posh's TOS. Posh primarily serves as a platform to facilitate ticket purchases and event coordination without directly intervening in financial policies.
