When creating an event, you can easily set up different ticket types—each with its own fully customizable settings. This gives you the flexibility to design ticket options that work exactly the way you need.
Customizing Ticket Settings
When setting up your event, each ticket type comes with a range of customizable options. These settings give you full control over pricing, limits, visibility, and access.
Log in to your Posh account in your browser.
Go to your Event Details page.
Select the Ticket 🎟️ icon.
Choose an existing ticket or click + Add Ticket Type, then adjust its settings.
Then we flow into Ticket Pricing, Quantity, Sale Period, etc. as you already drafted.
1. Ticket Pricing
Gross Price: Enter the ticket’s total price first.
Once you hit Enter, you’ll see the display prices, which include calculated fees.
📖 Want to learn more about how fees are displayed? Check out our guide: Updated Ticket Price Display
2. Quantity Available
Want to cap your attendees or limit ticket availability? Here's how:
Once all tickets are sold (e.g., if you set 200 tickets and all of them are purchased), attendees will no longer be able to purchase this specific ticket tier.
This is the way to create a cap on your attendee numbers (or “heads”) since the system doesn’t allow you to set a global attendee cap. By limiting the ticket quantity, you control how many people can attend through that ticket type.
Total Limit to the entire event: This applies only if you have one ticket tier. If you have multiple ticket types, set the quantity for each one individually — the combined total will determine your overall attendee cap.
⚠️ Disclaimer: Each attendee can purchase multiple tickets, so the number of tickets sold may not equal the actual number of attendees.
To control actual attendee numbers, use the Limit Purchase Quantity option (under Ticket Options).
For example, if you set the maximum to 1, then each order equals one ticket and one attendee.
This will be reflected accurately in your attendee reports.
3. Sale Period
Set when your ticket is available for purchase:
Valid From: Choose the start date/time.
Valid Until: Choose the end date/time.
4. Ticket Description
Add details so customers know exactly what’s included with this ticket.
5. Ticket Options
Fine-tune how your tickets work:
Limit Purchase Quantity – Set the maximum number of tickets each customer can buy.
Hide Tier – Make the ticket invisible to customers.
Disable Ticket – Keep the ticket visible but prevent purchases.
6. Privacy Settings
Control who can access your tickets:
Require Approval – Customers must be approved before they can purchase.
Transferable – Allow customers to transfer their ticket to someone else.
Password Protected – Customers need a password to purchase.
❌ Important Note: Transferred tickets are non-refundable. As an Organizer, you will not see a refund option for these orders.
If you need to issue a refund, please contact us at [email protected] or start a chat, and our Support team will assist you.
7. Availability
Choose where your tickets can be sold:
Available Online – Purchasable via your event page.
Available In-Person – Purchasable via in-person payment.
✅ Organizer Tip: All it takes is toggling a switch to enable or disable these settings. You can adjust them anytime—making it quick, convenient, and perfectly tailored for your event.
